But can she change enough to open herself up to happiness and true connection?  πŸ“–PUB DATE: September   26th 2024 πŸ“–THOUGHTS&OPINIONS:  #115thBookOf2024 Thank you to Booksirens, the publisher, and the author for providing ...

#19 BOOKSIRENS READ: THE UNEXPECTED GUESTS

πŸ“–BOOK TITLE: THE UNEXPECTED GUESTS (BOOK TWO) πŸ“–AUTHOR: RUTH F STEVENS  πŸ“–THOUGHTS&OPINIONS:  #150thBookOf2024 Thank you, Booksirens and the author, for granting my request to read this e-ARC and provide my honest opinions. Having read the first book, "My Year of Casual Acquaintances," I decided to request the sequel, thinking it will be way better than the first. Honestly, I was bored, but I still felt as though I needed to finish the book; there were too many side background stories that I felt were not necessary to the plot. I loved Charlie & Margaret and the evolution of their relationship. Thank you once again for the opportunity to read this e-ARC.  πŸ“–RATINGS: 3 STARS ⭐⭐⭐ Check out my review of the first book in the series: MY YEAR OF CASUAL ACQUAINTANCES

#18 BOOKSIRENS READ: FORBIDDEN BONDS

πŸ“– BOOK TITLE: FORBIDDEN BONDS  πŸ“–AUTHOR: ROSE FRESQUEZ  πŸ“–THOUGHTS&OPINIONS:  #131stBookOf2024   Thank you to Booksirens and Rose Fresquez for granting my request to read this e-ARC and provide my honest opinions. I think the author really wanted to make Fred's and Lucy's relationship feel forbidden enough for us, the readers, to root for them. Think this: the village poor boy who is eighteen and is supposed to get married, whose family believes in polygamy, and whose father has a longstanding feud with the city girl's father; the city kind of rich girl who is eighteen and does not plan on getting married any time soon, strongly believes in monogamy, cannot and will not be a traditional wife, and is aiming to be a career woman and is still in school. So you see what I mean when I say the author really tried to make the love story forbidden; is forbidden even the right word? No, I got the right words, Out of Reach. Fred and Lucy's love story is ou...

#17 BOOKSIRENS READ: YOU'RE ENOUGH, JUNE NELSON

πŸ“– BOOK TITLE: YOU'RE ENOUGH, JUNE NELSON  πŸ“–AUTHOR: JESSI HANSEN  πŸ“–THOUGHTS&OPINIONS:  #123rdBookOf2024 Thank you to Booksirens and the author for granting my request to read this e-ARC for free and provide my honest opinions. Seeing as I did not read the blurb before jumping into this one, I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered that time travel was in this book. June is on her way to her book launch; her boyfriend just dumped her, and a big-time book blogger just called her new book 'mediocre'. June is scared; she has always been scared, but it seems like life has given her a chance to retrace her steps to see life from her teenage perspective. Honestly, in terms of love interest, I didn't think that June and Patrick could still work; in fact, I stopped rooting for them at some point, but everybody deserves a second chance. Everybody deserves someone that will tell them that they're enough. You Are Enough! πŸ“–RATINGS: 4 STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐ πŸ“–QUOTES: ♤...

#16 BOOKSIRENS READ: THE MOBILE REHAB

πŸ“– BOOK TITLE: THE MOBILE REHAB  πŸ“–AUTHOR: WINNIE D PAGORA πŸ“–THOUGHTS&OPINIONS:  #122ndBookOf2024 Thank you to Booksirens and the author for granting my request to read this e-ARC for free and provide my honest opinions. This book definitely has a good premise—think this, four different teenagers come to a foreign country without their mobile devices to partake in the'so-called Mobile Rehab'. I was really excited for it, but I just did not connect to it as much as I would have loved to. πŸ“–RATINGS: 2 STARS ⭐⭐

#15 BOOKSIRENS READ: YAHIMBA

πŸ“– BOOK TITLE: YAHIMBA ( LAGOS ELITE CLUB 1) πŸ“–AUTHOR: O.L.OBONNA  πŸ“–THOUGHTS&OPINIONS:  #120thBookOf2024 Thank you to Booksirens and the author for granting my request to read this e-ARC in exchange for my honest opinions. Forced proximity! Fake Dating! Brother's bestfriend! Virgin FMC! Light on spice 🌢 and thick on plot 😩! Guy falls first! Wow, this book took me on a ride 😘😍😍. I really enjoyed the love story between Yahimba and Eyinmofe, these twoπŸ₯ΊπŸ₯Ί. I wanted to shake some sense into Yahimba—why stress this guy so much and why always compare him to Bem😩. Eyinmofe is the real deal, and you know it. Despite all the things Bem, Mama Nande, and her half-sister Wandoo have done to Yahimba, I am so glad she put it all behind her and did not let it hold her down. I can't wait for the next book in the series ❤😍. πŸ“–RATINGS: 5 STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

#13 BOOKSIRENS READ: COOL GIRL SUMMER

πŸ“–BOOK TITLE: COOL GIRL SUMMER  πŸ“–AUTHOR: AMBER EVE  πŸ“–THOUGHTS&OPINIONS:  #SeventythirdBookOf2024 #Arc Thank you to Booksirens and the author for this ARC. I received this ARC voluntarily. The cover of this book is so nice😍, but I didn't quite connect to the story and characters as much as I would have loved to. Summer got on my nerves from the beginning of the story until the end. It felt like a coming-of- age story, but Summer is thirty-one and half, so it can't be a coming-of- age story. I get that summer lost a bit of direction, but damn girl!  All in all, the story wasn't just for me. Thanks again to the author for this ARC. πŸ“–RATINGS: 2 STARS ⭐⭐

#12 BOOKSIRENS READ: ACTUALLY YOURS

πŸ“– BOOK TITLE: ACTUALLY YOURS  πŸ“– AUTHOR : BELINDA MARY  πŸ“– PUB DATE : JUNE 28 2024 πŸ“– THOUGHTS&OPINIONS :  #SeventyfirstBookOf2024 #Arc Amelia and Jake's relationship is one that I love so much. Amelia has always dated the wrong guys in the hope of saving her heart from the stress of falling apart, so after Robbie broke up with her and ghosted her for six months, Amelia's friends decided it was time to set the wrongs right with their dating plan, which is dating men with actual jobs πŸ˜‚, but even that turns disastrous. I kept rolling my eyes at each failed date attempt because Mr. Right has been there all along, waiting patiently for you to choose him. Jake is the opposite of all the men Amelia has dated in the past, so if she is choosing him, she has to be all in. It turns out that Jake and Amelia have always been for each other 😍😍πŸ₯Ί. I also loved the friendship between the girls❤❤. Even if most of them were married, they always made Amelia feel in...

#11 BOOKSIRENS READ: KAT GIRL

πŸ“–BOOK TITLE: KAT GIRL  πŸ“– AUTHOR : SARAH LAHEY  πŸ“– PUB DATE : JULY 12 2024   πŸ“– THOUGHTS&OPINIONS :  #SeventiethBookOf2024 #LetterK Of My Alphabet Challenge #Arc Thank you to Booksirens, the publisher and author of this ARC. I  received this ARC voluntarily in exchange for my honest opinions. The phrase don't judge a book by its cover doesn't apply to me anymore πŸ˜‚. A book has to be visually appealing before I decide to even read the blurb, and the cover for 'Kat Girl' is so intriguing. I think this is the second book I've read about women in construction, and in both of these books, women have to face sexism and even misogyny just because they are women doing a man's job. After two failed marriages and one lost baby, Kat decided no more men, which directly means no marriage until Liam comes along. For Liam, he wants a partner who he can put down roots with, get married with, and even have a family, but can he move his line in the sand fo...

#10 BOOKSIRENS READ: ALL IT'S WORTH

πŸ“– BOOK TITLE : ALL IT'S WORTH  πŸ“– AUTHOR : JULIE NANG GAVIN   πŸ“– PUB DATE : JUNE 4 2024   πŸ“– THOUGHTS&OPINIONS :  #SixtyeighthBookOf2024 #Arc    Thank you to the publisher, Booksirens, and the author for this ARC. I received this ARC voluntarily in exchange for my honest opinion. I loved the premise of the whole story—rich families, Heiress and Heir to a top company, friendship, and not forgetting a little bit of scandal as well πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰. Chloe is a ball of energy who brings light wherever she goes, but she does not think that her summer interning in Thailand at her father's company (Gold Elephant) will bring about a love interest with Evan (her arch enemy). While interning, she finds herself fantasizing about Evan (what! This can't be!). While I ate the whole forbidden love trope between Chloe and Evan, their love story felt rushed; I didn't feel any chemistry between the two main characters. Overall, I enjoyed the story and the continuity of ...

#9 BOOKSIRENS READ: THE YEAR I LIVED TWICE

πŸ“–BOOK TITLE: THE YEAR I LIVED TWICE  πŸ“–AUTHOR: ALEX WOOLF  πŸ“–PUB DATE:  MARCH 7 2024  πŸ“–THOUGHTS&OPINIONS:  #FiftyfifthBookOf2024 Anyone who knows me knows I'm a sucker for time-travel-infused novels, and this book did justice to the theme. But even at that, most of the events were half-baked to me. Still, I enjoyed the book, even if it had a slow progression. I particularly enjoyed the twist at the ending. I'm sure even Jason was surprised at the person who almost took the lives of his oldest pal and brother. At the end, I found myself asking questions because I was a bit confused about the outcome of events, but I can't add these questions to avoid spoilers.  One thing I want to ask is, "Does Jason keep reliving the same year until he saves his brother?" To be honest, I was expecting a better ending πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘πŸ˜«. πŸ“–RATINGS: 3 STARS ⭐⭐⭐ πŸ“–QUOTES: ♤  The past isn’t always the best guide to how we should live now. But it does provide s...

#8 BOOKSIRENS READ: FAMILY FRIENDS

πŸ“– BOOK TITLE: FAMILY FRIENDS  πŸ“–AUTHOR: JANET KOOPS  πŸ“–THOUGHTS&OPINIONS:    #FortyfirstBookOf2024 One of my favorite aspects of this book is its short chapters and engaging characters. 😍 We meet Jenna, a single mother whose parents kicked her out of their home at a young age πŸ˜₯. Often, the ones who hurt us the most are those who are supposed to be our blood. I mean, how can your parents do that to you, without even bothering to call or anything? I liked how Jenna matured and realized that her parents would not come around. She made something for both herself and her daughter. She made friends and found love 😍. What is better than that? 🀷🏽‍♀️ πŸ“–RATINGS: 3 STARS ⭐⭐⭐

#7 BOOKSIRENS READ: RULES OF DISENGAGEMENT

πŸ“– BOOK TITLE:   RULES OF DISENGAGEMENT  πŸ“–AUTHOR:   JANET KOOPS  πŸ“–THOUGHTS&OPINIONS:  #ThirtyninthBookOf2024 Book 2 of The Lost And Found Family Series and wow, it is nice, and the amazing thing about these books is that they are novellas. I think this is my favorite out of the books in this series. These books can be read independently. Stephanie has always had rules to keep her life in check, but what will happen when those rules ruin the life that she loves? Stephanie will have to step up, find out who she is, and stop being the entitled bitch she is. But will she have to lose her newfound love just for it? πŸ“–RATINGS:  4 STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐ πŸ“–QUOTES: □ you only get out of life what you put into it

#6 BOOKSIRENS READ: SIX WEEKS WITH YOU

πŸ“– BOOK TITLE:  SIX WEEKS WITH YOU (LOST AND FOUND FAMILY #1) πŸ“–AUTHOR: JANET KOOPS  πŸ“–THOUGHTS&OPINIONS:  #ThirtyeighthBookOf2024    Book one in the Lost And Found Family Series; I believe this book may be read independently of Book Zero(0). Having an addictive mother and being in a psychologically harmful relationship will shape your perspective on life, particularly love. Vicki wanted to remain alone and avoid all forms of social engagement, but when she met Daniel, she immediately wanted to chat to him all day and night. But what do you do when your relationship has a timeline? Will six weeks be enough? πŸ“–RATINGS: 3 STARS ⭐⭐⭐

#5 BOOKSIRENS READ: HOMING INSTINCT

πŸ“– BOOK TITLE: HOMING INSTINCT  πŸ“–AUTHOR: JANET KOOPS  πŸ“–THOUGHTS&OPINIONS:  #ThirtyseventhBookOf2024 I read the prequel of The Lost And Found Family series: How Darcy and Francois Met. 😍 In this story, we meet Darcy, who is a Fight or Flight risk because she has spent her entire life on the move, and Francois, a pleasant, compassionate, and handsome guy.  Darcy and Francois are ideal for one other, but will Darcy fight for what she wants? Sometimes home isn't a place! πŸ“–RATINGS:  3 Stars ⭐⭐⭐

#4 BOOKSIRENS READ: PARALLEL

πŸ“–BOOK TITLE: PARALLEL  πŸ“–AUTHOR: HOPE BOLINGER  πŸ“–THOUGHTS&OPINIONS:  #ThirtyfirsthBookOf2024 #Arc I want to thank the publisher, author, and booksirens for granting my request to read this book for free in exchange for my honest opinions. When I read the synopsis of the book, I immediately wanted to read this book because all the craze about multiverses just hit me since Dark Matter and Parallel left me craving more books with similar themes. So, cheers to reading more books about multiverses 🍻πŸ₯‚! Jonas and Sonja's relationship was so cute, and I totally get the feeling when you think you've met the 'One', that one person that totally gets you, that person that loves your quirks, that one person that just loves you 😍. I love love πŸ’•, I am such a hopeless romantic, but I enjoyed their relationship, and particularly how they were so sure that they wanted to make their relationship long-term (marriage) despite their young age!  But that's the pr...

#3 BOOKSIRENS READ: MARY NOT BROKEN

πŸ“– BOOK TITLE:   MARY NOT BROKEN πŸ“– AUTHOR: DEBORAH L KING πŸ“– PUB DATE: OCTOBER 10TH 2023 πŸ“– GENRE:  WOMEN'S FICTION || HISTORICAL FICTION  πŸ“– THOUGHTS&OPINIONS:   I want to thank the entire BOOKSIRENS team, the author and publisher for granting my request to read this book for  FREE  and to drop my very honest review. #LetterM of my alphabet challenge # SecondBookOf2024 This story follows the main character ' MARY' who wanted the best out of life, who wanted to live the way she wants to, who wanted to love and be loved but what happens when your one chance to love falls apart! What happens when that love dies! What happens when the product of that love dies and you are  left with nothing but to start from the very beginning, to go back to the choice that you ran away from😭😭 MARY had to marry a Reverend who promises to give her sisters a sound education, to buy her Papa a tractor. #2 BOOKSIRENS READ: LEGACY

πŸ“š BOOK TITLE: LEGACY   πŸ“š AUTHOR: ANNA RASHBROOK  πŸ“š PUB DATE: JANUARY 12TH 2024 πŸ“š GENRE:  CHRISTAIN FICTION|| WOMEN'S FICTION|| FAMILY DRAMA πŸ“š THOUGHTS&OPINIONS: I want to thank the entire booksirens crew, the author and publisher for granting my request to read this book for FREE  and to drop my very honest review. I loved that this book is a CHRISTIAN BOOK and we dont usually have more of Christian books. At first I couldn't get into the book cos they were so many characters some of which I can't even remember their names, but I continued regardless. There were alot of twists (like a lot so get ready for that) and even love( which I didn't expect). Forgiveness and letting go to me were the main theme of this story, the importance of forgiveness and letting go can't be overemphasized!! This book was okay for me, but that wouldn't stop me from recommending it so if you love women's Fiction, Christain Fiction I will suggest you add ...

I read the blurb from booksirens and I just couldn't pass, I HAD TO READ WHY VIVIAN IS DONE! This book isn't all about romance but about FRIENDSHIPS too and why they are  important. When VIVIAN A recruiting specialist( first time I am hearing about this type of job) gets an assignment in Charleston to help a healthcare organization recruits their lost nurses, she begins to understand that her job is taking too much from her that she has little to give in other aspects of her life and nobody should have a job that takes too much from them even if it comes with a huge paycheck! The relationships between the characters in the book I love it so much. I lov...
