#4 BOOKSIRENS READ: PARALLEL

๐Ÿ“–BOOK TITLE: PARALLEL

๐Ÿ“–AUTHOR: HOPE BOLINGER

๐Ÿ“–THOUGHTS&OPINIONS:
#ThirtyfirsthBookOf2024 #Arc

I want to thank the publisher, author, and booksirens for granting my request to read this book for free in exchange for my honest opinions.

When I read the synopsis of the book, I immediately wanted to read this book because all the craze about multiverses just hit me since Dark Matter and Parallel left me craving more books with similar themes. So, cheers to reading more books about multiverses ๐Ÿป๐Ÿฅ‚!

Jonas and Sonja's relationship was so cute, and I totally get the feeling when you think you've met the 'One', that one person that totally gets you, that person that loves your quirks, that one person that just loves you ๐Ÿ˜. I love love ๐Ÿ’•, I am such a hopeless romantic, but I enjoyed their relationship, and particularly how they were so sure that they wanted to make their relationship long-term (marriage) despite their young age!

But that's the problem: how do you do long term with a person who doesn't share the same universe with you? ๐Ÿ˜ณSo the solution to this problem is:

1. Think about how funny it is that in the whole of your city, you couldn't find a person to love, but you had to love a person from an entire different universe ๐Ÿ˜‚.
2. Gather your best friends and tell them about your theory, guessing they didn't take it well.
3. Watch enough conspiracy theories.
4. Tell your best friends to open a portal to another universe to see your boyfriend.

Anyway, that is about that; the important thing is that you broke space and time to see your boyfriend. Initially, I found it cute that Sonja and Jonas had the same letters, but the whole characters had the same arrangement: Tresa and Aster , Roan and Nora.

I found SJ's parents very very toxic and it is really weird, and about 5 chapters or so into the ending, I felt like I was missing something.

Above all, I love the book, and I will be on the lookout for more of Hope Bolinger's work๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜.

๐Ÿ“–RATINGS: 4 STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐

๐Ÿ“–QUOTES:
Relationships require sacrifice, but I’d like to believe it’s both people compromising. Both people being willing to give up something for each other.

FROM ONE TO FIVE

Another Saturday, another bookish rant๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜Š. Welcome to another chapter of weekly special book lovers ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ˜. The star rating system: a simple way to sum up our thoughts on a book, or an outdated habit that's due for a change? The other day I saw a post on Instagram about whether book reviewers still made use of "stars" when reviewing books, and I was compelled to make this a topic on my book segment! So the question is, 'Do reviewers and generally book lovers still make use of stars when reviewing books?' As a book reviewer myself, I love making use of stars, and I will never stop making use of them except a better system comes up for scaling books ๐Ÿ˜‚. It is also true that I correct my ratings accordingly. What do I mean by this? This is what I mean: when rating books, I go by my mood and excitement after completion of the book, and I immediately rate books. I may look back on my emotions after reading a particular book and correct my ratings. I recently...

WHO AM I?

In this chapter of the Weekly Special, I am going to dive into who I am aside from being a book reviewer! I know y'all are probably thinking that all I do with my time is read books and rate them on a scale of five ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. Probably not! So the question is, Who is RayoReads? I am Rayo, and this is who I am aside from reading and reviewing books. 1. I am a student at Delta State University in Abraka studying physiology. How cool, right? (just joking) ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ . When school is in session, studies take up most of my time, which is why I am so happy when we go on breaks.  2. I am a very introverted person, which you will have guessed, so no partying, going out , excessive friends, and the rest. 3. I am an indoors person, but that does not mean I sleep a lot ๐Ÿ’ค๐Ÿ˜‚ .P.S.: I don't like taking afternoon naps. 4. I am not a big social person, but you can find me on Facebook: (  https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100087184700959&mibextid=ZbWKwL )    Instagram (...
