So the rare moments in which I read the blurb before starting a book, I was deceived 😫😆. P.S. This is not your typical romance. This book got me so amped up from the beginning; I enjoyed the writing, and I wanted to know what happened.

You would think me being excited from the beginning would prepare me for the rather abrupt and confusing ending—like, where were the rom-com elements I was promised?

Another thing that really pissed me off was the characters living in their parents' house. I can understand if one or two of the characters still lived at home, but in this case almost all characters still lived with their parents. For crying out loud, this is not a YA novel.

I loved Tia and her friendships and obviously how her career is blooming but I can't stop thinking about what will happen next with Tia and Nate and I'm definitely sure they will be in some kind of back and forth because they will be seeing thierself quite alot 😉😉.

Overall, this book is okay, and it's more of a women's fiction than romance.

And the mystique surrounding Scott and his numerous problems. I can't believe Marie and his ex-wife married this guy. Scott is an a$$hole, and he deserves to be treated as such. Those poor innocent kids 😩. While humor was a big part of the novel, this book shines a light on serious topics such as infidelity, gaslighting, serial lying, and paternal irresponsibility towards children, just to say the least. I had so much fun laughing while reading this book and gained awareness of how lies and subtle gaslighting build up! What Scott did is unacceptable! And my heart goes out to all the things he did to the women he was with; what a gag🤮🤢. And yes, there is a love interest 🥰🥰🥰. 📖 RATINGS : 5 STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It was like the author wanted to shove the love interest down my throat 😂😂. One thing this love story between Liv and Ransom did was make me cringe. I even lowkey hated the MMC's name 😩😑. The chemistry was not there, and it just felt as if Liv didn't have any other option than to date Ransom. Boy told you he wanted space; he didn't talk to you, and after so many years, he waltzed back into your life like he never left. The synopsis made it feel like Ransom was the reason Liv went into isolation 😑😑. I would have rated this 3.5 stars, but I rounded it up to 4 stars. The whole transition from friends to lovers took me on a ride, and I really thought that both Raff's and Gaby's HEAs (Happily Ever After) would not happen due to some circumstances on both MCs part. "Someone Like You" is the fourth book in the "Ever After Agency Series," and I read this book as a standalone even without reading the rest in the series. Honestly, I feel that no one can be as dumb and oblivious as Raff. Like, seriously, dude, how can you not know when someone is flirting with you?
