BOOK REVIEW RUNDOWN: ONLY BIG BUMBUM MATTERS TOMORROW

๐Ÿ“–BOOK TITLE: ONLY BIG BUMBUM MATTERS TOMORROW

๐Ÿ“–AUTHOR: DAMILARE KUKU

๐Ÿ“–THOUGHTS&OPINIONS:
#NinetiethBookof2024

I feel that this book should be between 3 and 4 stars, maybe 3.5-ish, but I love whole numbers๐Ÿ˜‚.

I can empathize with Temi regarding the taunts she got over her 'small yansh' and the constant comparisons to her elder sister. I also loved the way the author talked about each character: Temi is complaining about her 'small yansh', and Ladun is complaining too. What a life! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. For Nigerian parents, Tito and Hassana's parenting style is to be talked about, especially Tito, who is such a wonderful father ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ’.The girls are so free to talk to him about everything. Another thing I loved about this book was the family dynamics displayed. Despite being an open family, there were still some secrets among them. It is funny how Hassana wants Ladun to forgive her, but she can't find a place in her heart to forgive Jummai.

For a book I loved so many things about, it still felt incomplete per se, and I have some questions that need answers ๐Ÿ˜ซ.

Damilare Kuku, with the banging titles, I can't wait to see what your next book will be about ๐Ÿ˜.

๐Ÿ“–RATINGS: 3 STARS ⭐⭐⭐

๐Ÿ“–QUOTES:
we must all be stronger than the words people throw at us; otherwise, we never move forward.

Silence is powerful, especially when the person you are sparring with is screaming.

People have forgotten how to be kind with their words.Sometimes they joke, but they do not know that it lands in a place of hurt.

Comments

  1. This last quote resonates a lot with me, sometimes we joke but to the other person it is not a joke

๐Ÿ“– BOOK TITLE: REZ BALL  ๐Ÿ“– AUTHOR : BRYON GRAVES  ๐Ÿ“– THOUGHTS&OPINIONS:  #146thBookof2024 I am really surprised that this is a debut novel! I really have no words to describe what I felt when I was reading this book so I am going to leave my review like this.  Wow!!! I am no basketball enthusiast but I'm so glad I discovered this book, I am so glad I got to read this book! You can see how raw the emotions are, you begin to feel what the author felt when he was penning down this book! We need more books like this!! Time to go and watch the movie!! ๐Ÿ“– RATINGS : 5 STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

BOOK REVIEW RUNDOWN: REMEMBER ME TOMORROW

๐Ÿ“– BOOK TITLE: REMEMBER ME TOMORROW  ๐Ÿ“–AUTHOR: FARAH HERON ๐Ÿ“–THOUGHTS&OPINIONS:  #127thBookOf2024 Yes, this book is a little bonkers. This is a very unconventional love story, and you have to really get at it to grasp the story between Jay and Aleeza. You know I love everything time travel/parallel universe-related, and with each fiction book I read about this topic, my mind is blown away every single time. Yes, there's more mystery elements than the rom-com because how can Aleeza be in love with Jay, who is not even in her timeline, talk about a guy who is unavailable? I loved how put together this book was, how the mystery elements worked together; there was no point in this book that was left to assumptions; everything was explained well without being boring and overly descriptive. Overall, I really enjoyed this story, and definitely this will not be my last Farah Heron's book. ๐Ÿ“–RATINGS: 4 STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ๐Ÿ“–QUOTES: ♤ Time isn’t linear. There are an infin...

THE REUNION BY KAYLA OLSON

๐Ÿ“– BOOK TITLE: THE REUNION ๐Ÿ“–AUTHOR: KAYLA OLSON  ๐Ÿ“–THOUGHTS&OPINIONS:  #155thBookof2024 I really wanted to love this; I mean, look at this stunning cover, but it is what it is, and I didn't love it ๐Ÿ˜ฉ. It was like the author wanted to shove the love interest down my throat ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. One thing this love story between Liv and Ransom did was make me cringe. I even lowkey hated the MMC's name ๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ˜‘. The chemistry was not there, and it just felt as if Liv didn't have any other option than to date Ransom. Boy told you he wanted space; he didn't talk to you, and after so many years, he waltzed back into your life like he never left. The synopsis made it feel like Ransom was the reason Liv went into isolation ๐Ÿ˜‘๐Ÿ˜‘. Liv- I love your personality and your charisma, but your love story with Ransom was one I so detested ๐Ÿ™. ๐Ÿ“– RATINGS : 2 STARS ⭐⭐ ๐Ÿ“–๐ŸŒธ READ IF YOU LIKE: ๐ŸŒธ She has always loved him ๐ŸŒธ Friends to strangers to lovers ๐ŸŒธ Second chance romance  ๐ŸŒธ Hollywoo...
