πŸ“šTHOUGHTS&OPINIONS:
#7Netgalley read

This book is coming out in 2024 and when I saw it on Netgalley I couldn't just pass, I had to see what this book entails and I was definitely not expecting this much drama, in Owen's imagined voice " I don't do drama" πŸ˜‚

So when a grandmother takes her daughter and her granddaughter on a great adventure to Peru, they didn't know that a lot of drama will unfold and their grand adventure will turn to a therapy session. So much secrets! So much crying!! So much drama!!!

Bonnie the grandmother got married 3 times, became a widow 3 times and she is just seventy. Bonnie has a very sad backstory, I felt pity for her but I was  happy that everything she ever dreamed of having, she eventually got it.

Sandra the daughter started dating an a$$hole  when she was in uni who was constantly cheating on her and using her and she knew but she decided to marry him because she loved him so much. After giving him her all and giving birth to his 2 kids; love definitely wasn't enough to sustain him and even during the marriage he was still cheating and the kids knew that their father was cheating. Very sad too but I didn't feel pity for her because she said she enjoyed the love he showered on her and she doesn't regret being with himπŸ˜’

Heather the daughter became the emotional dumping ground for her mother's feelings, she wasn't allowed to feel her own feelings (if this sentence is correct) but she was now in charge of consoling and managing her mom who is an adult.
The book was centered on the 3 of them dealing with their transgenerational baggages and I enjoyed every bit of it, because this is an ARC I don't want to include spoilers in this review because this is a very early review

FROM ONE TO FIVE

Another Saturday, another bookish rantπŸ˜‚πŸ˜Š. Welcome to another chapter of weekly special book lovers πŸ“šπŸ˜. The star rating system: a simple way to sum up our thoughts on a book, or an outdated habit that's due for a change? The other day I saw a post on Instagram about whether book reviewers still made use of "stars" when reviewing books, and I was compelled to make this a topic on my book segment! So the question is, 'Do reviewers and generally book lovers still make use of stars when reviewing books?' As a book reviewer myself, I love making use of stars, and I will never stop making use of them except a better system comes up for scaling books πŸ˜‚. It is also true that I correct my ratings accordingly. What do I mean by this? This is what I mean: when rating books, I go by my mood and excitement after completion of the book, and I immediately rate books. I may look back on my emotions after reading a particular book and correct my ratings. I recently...

WHO AM I?

In this chapter of the Weekly Special, I am going to dive into who I am aside from being a book reviewer! I know y'all are probably thinking that all I do with my time is read books and rate them on a scale of five πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. Probably not! So the question is, Who is RayoReads? I am Rayo, and this is who I am aside from reading and reviewing books. 1. I am a student at Delta State University in Abraka studying physiology. How cool, right? (just joking) πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ . When school is in session, studies take up most of my time, which is why I am so happy when we go on breaks.  2. I am a very introverted person, which you will have guessed, so no partying, going out , excessive friends, and the rest. 3. I am an indoors person, but that does not mean I sleep a lot πŸ’€πŸ˜‚ .P.S.: I don't like taking afternoon naps. 4. I am not a big social person, but you can find me on Facebook: (  https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100087184700959&mibextid=ZbWKwL )    Instagram (...
